Kyrie’s Rants & InSaNiTiEs

So I got my etsy shop up and running.  I’m really happy with all of it. You can go and check it out if you like. I am calling it Faerie Dust & Angel Fluff

So we’re having dinner, and it’s something new. When I lived in Montana there was this place called Rocket Burrito that served…well burritos. They had a whole bunch of different kinds. All of which I hear are pretty good but my favorite one was called the Hey pork chop!

Which has pork chop, pineapple chunks, rice, sour cream, bbq sauce, cheese all lovingly wrapped in a tortilla. I know it doesn’t sound good…but it is. I told Craig I was craving one and he looked at me oddly and then said…okay we can have that.

Admittedly I usually held the pork chop and bbq sauce and added chicken instead. However Craig makes very good pork chops so I decided to try it the way they always have made it on the menu.  It was sooo yummy.  Craig even agreed that he liked it.

The whole time Alex kept complaining that it did not taste right and that he didn’t like it. Which of course is what they both say anytime we make them try something new.  So Kayden had finished his and went out to play while he watched Craig change the oil.

A few minutes later I hear Alex say…”I’m done.” Without pausing I hear…”oh ohh! Oh no!” And then that unmistakable sound of retching.  As I whip around to see (even though I’d really rather have miss the whole event) he’s thoughtfully projectile vomiting all over the table.  Well most of it is over the table, he changed aim when he realized the carpet was not a good idea.

So I went and got Craig…while Alex hurried to the bathroom during the pause to finish there.  I can still hear the alarm in his voice as he said “oh oohhh”

A few minutes later after much dry heaving on Alex’s part he says in a very pathetic voice, “Kyrie it came out my nose.”  To which I tried not to laugh and was I hope somewhat consoling.

About five minutes later he says…”Kyrie, am I going to have to eat that again?”  I did laugh then, as I told him it was highly unlikely.

Okay so I’ve been  a bit busy the last few weeks and haven’t had the time to post much. So here goes, starting with family news.

I found out today that my grandmother is in the hospital with heart palpitations. They don’t know what’s wrong with her and they are keeping her for observation over night. Hopefully she’ll be able to go home with answers in the morning.

My sister’s looser officially moved out on Sunday going so far as to actually move out of town which means she won’t be having to share custody…at least not in that annoying way that makes you truly consider just how deep some of the mines around here are.

Unfortunately they decided to spring it on my niece two days before he left, and when she asked if she could see him for Father’s day he told her no, he’d be working.  Such a looser, but considering that he’s moving on to his “good life without them hindering him” it’s for the best.

Last Tuesday we had a girls night out and had a blast. It was a lot of fun. We rented a room at Red Rock and then had dinner and drinks, the next morning we all played at the pool.

Girls just want to have fun!

Friday was the start of Sockwars III, which I luckily got my dossier only 3 hrs late. But I had downloaded the pattern from the website and had a pretty good start going by the time I got it. I wasn’t ready to do the foot by the time I got the pattern so it was okay.  I started at about 10am on Friday morning and finished both socks at 6:30pm on Monday.

Tomorrow I will send them out in the mail and wait for the next round of the contest to begin. Hopefully I will get to move on to the next round. The winner gets 60 balls of yarn and considering that 1 ball runs around 15…that’s lots of yarn.
